About the Role

STV's National Healthcare Practice is seeking senior leaders to provide design leadership across health and wellbeing projects, shaping the future of complex healthcare environments. This role involves translating client goals and operational needs into interior environments that support patient experience, staff performance, and facility durability, contributing directly to business development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead interior design efforts from pre-design through construction administration, maintaining design intent and quality standards.
  • Drive concept development and design strategy, translating client mission and goals into cohesive interior environments.
  • Lead FF&E strategy, product research, material and furniture selection, and procurement coordination, adhering to healthcare standards.
  • Prepare and lead interior finish and FF&E specifications, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with industry standards.
  • Apply knowledge of applicable codes, guidelines, and clinical environment requirements, including FGI Guidelines, ADA, and life safety.
  • Coordinate interior design decisions with architecture, medical planning, and other consultant teams for integrated delivery.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement with healthcare executives, clinical leadership, and end users.
  • Ensure interior design documentation meets QA/QC standards and client requirements.
  • Support business development through pursuit strategy, narrative development, and client presentations.
  • Mentor junior designers and emerging professionals, sharing technical and design knowledge.
  • Contribute to practice growth by identifying follow-on opportunities and advancing the quality of the design offering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Active NCIDQ certification.
  • 12+ years of industry experience.
  • 10+ years of healthcare interior design experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable codes, guidelines, and standards for interior design scope, including FGI Guidelines, ADA, and infection control.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp.
  • Demonstrated experience with FF&E strategy, finish selection, specifications writing, and procurement coordination in healthcare environments.
  • Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to diverse stakeholders.
