About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Operations Manager who is eager for real operational responsibility in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for and shape HR processes for our entire workforce, from train staff and commercial employees to corporate and tech colleagues. You are someone who doesn't wait for the perfect situation but simply gets things done. Tight deadlines motivate you, and experience with AI tools for automating recurring HR tasks is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operational HR management
Responsibility for the entire HR lifecycle, from onboarding and contract management to offboarding and compliance
Support and further development of HR processes for a mixed commercial and industrial workforce with high demands on legally compliant, consistent implementation
Operational implementation under high time pressure, ensuring tasks are completed even with tight timelines
Close collaboration with managers from rail operations, customer experience, and the corporate sector
Preparatory payroll accounting in the absence of the Payroll Manager
Trusted point of contact for managers and employees on all HR-related issues: policies, compliance, labor law
Confident handling of complex labor law situations and employee discussions
Close collaboration with Talent Acquisition, People Partnering, and Legal to ensure smooth interfaces
Identification of inefficiencies in existing HR processes and development of scalable, partially automated solutions, preferably with AI support
Co-design and implementation of HR digitalization projects to reduce manual effort and improve data quality
Building dashboards and reporting structures for informed people decisions at management level
Active promotion of a culture of continuous improvement within the People team

Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in HR / People Operations, ideally in a high-growth or operationally complex company
Proven experience in supporting mixed workforces - commercial and/or industrial target groups are a clear plus
Strong operational mindset: You build systems instead of just fighting fires; you document instead of just acting
Fluent German (min. C1) in speaking and writing for confident communication with employees and authorities
Good English for cross-departmental collaboration in the international Flix environment
Sound knowledge of German labor law and HR compliance
Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, BambooHR) and data-based HR reporting
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels
Practical experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, workflow automation) for optimizing HR processes
Background in logistics, transport, retail, or other operationally intensive industries
Experience with larger people projects or HR transformations
Genuine curiosity about the future of HR tech
