About the Role
Responsible for being the first point of contact for external clients from inception to account closure, enhancing their experience with Deutsche Bank by supporting queries, building relationships, and broadcasting client-related information. This role primarily supports Japanese clients but also serves APAC clients within the regional FXPB and HausFX Client Service team.
Responsibilities
- Manage phone/group inboxes and ensure client queries are attended to promptly.
- Conduct system walkthroughs for clients.
- Act as the Relationship Manager to facilitate coordination between the client and PB Transition for all onboarding and offboarding requests.
- Visit clients with relevant business to review the service offering.
- Ensure that all reconciliation breaks, trade exceptions, and settlements breaks are attended to promptly.
- Ensure team members globally provide the appropriate service level to clients and follow proper control guidelines.
- Provide operational support for FX trading activity during the Asia time zone, primarily for Japanese clients and covering regional/global clients as required.
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve trade breaks, fails, and mismatches throughout the trade lifecycle, coordinating with internal teams and counterparties.
- Act as an escalation point for complex operational issues, ensuring timely resolution, appropriate controls, and proactive client communication.
- Monitor client Net Open Position (NOP) limits and coordinate with Risk and Credit teams on limit reviews.
- Manage client inquiries and operational issues related to Maestro executions within HausFX.
- Oversee monthly client billing processes, ensuring accuracy, timely issuance, and resolution of complex billing and reconciliation issues.
- Follow up closely with clients to ensure fees are paid in a timely manner.
- Build strong working relationships internally and externally to service and manage clients professionally.
- Engage Rates PB and OTC Clearing teams for cross-product clients and FX Clearing team in London to support FX Clearing clients during Asia time zone.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Investment Banking experience in a role encompassing client interaction, internal relationship management, and cross-departmental communication.
- Capacity to take full ownership of a client’s requests with a mature and confident approach.
- Strong understanding of FX products.
- Good knowledge of the Prime Brokerage business is an advantage.
- Strong desktop PC skills, including a good knowledge of Microsoft package.
- Strong project and data management skills.
- Excellent team player with communication and inter-personal skills.
- Strong organizational/project management skills; ability to identify and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and results-driven approach to ensure task completion and improvement of client experience.
- Ability to articulate an understanding of FX products and the front-to-back process flows of relevant products.
- Good negotiation skills and the ability to manage individual clients’ expectations.
- Global Effectiveness & ability to think laterally.
- Knowledge of Deutsche Bank’s control framework, including street and house reconciliations, and control meetings.
