About the Role

LuxExperience is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support and enhance month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of all outputs. This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting and inventory accounting.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of all outputs
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, ensuring completeness and compliance with accounting standards
• Produce and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving any variances
• Oversee the end-to-end inventory accounting process, including tracking, reconciliation, and related journal postings
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls in line with PCAOB requirements and applicable accounting regulations
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting analysis
• Compile and analyse monthly sales data, including posting sales-related adjustments to the general ledger
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy across finance operations
• Partner with internal stakeholders to develop a strong understanding of business operations and financial drivers
• Support ad-hoc projects and coordinate with external tax and accounting advisors where required

Requirements

• Proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines
• Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy and organisation
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups)
• Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is advantageous
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / ICAEW or equivalent)
• Previous experience in accounting or finance role
