About the Role
As an apprentice, you will work towards a Data Science Degree Apprenticeship, gaining skills in problem structuring, coding, analytics, modeling, statistics, and data storytelling. You will gain real-world experience influencing decisions to drive service improvements for consumers and financial service providers.
Responsibilities
- Work with your line manager to agree and deliver against clear personal objectives, with support from a dedicated mentor.
- Build understanding of the organisation and proficiency in data science.
- Work on projects with support and guidance from colleagues within the analysis and insight group.
- Identify new operational or strategic insights using advanced statistical analysis, data mining, and data visualisation techniques.
- Ensure analytics, data, and research are quality assured, documented, and fit-for-purpose.
- Provide analytical and insight support or advice to projects across the organisation.
- Work with increasing independence as technical capability is built.
Requirements
- 104 UCAS points and GCSE English and maths (grade C or above), or a recognised and equivalent qualification.
- Completion of a level 3 apprenticeship/professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Examinations and relevant experience will be considered.
- Not be in full-time education or receiving funding for other learning programmes on enrolment (September 2026).
- Full UK Right to Work for the duration of the apprenticeship.
- Valid and eligible residency status.
- Resident in the UK for 3 years before the start of the apprenticeship.
- Demonstrate interest in data science and its potential to inform business decisions.
- Showcase a natural flair for data.
