About the Role

We are looking for an Account Director to manage senior client relationships across a portfolio of brands within The Good Economy. You will act as the senior partner responsible for setting client ambitions, leveraging agency capabilities, and ensuring the delivery of impactful work.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of senior client relationships, including CMOs, Marketing Directors, and founders.
  • Set client ambitions and lead quarterly business reviews.
  • Shape the agency's response to commercial, creative, and operational requests.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on brand strategy, growth, and future initiatives.
  • Lead the strategic narrative across accounts, integrating brand, social, influencer, and paid media efforts.
  • Incorporate external context, such as industry shifts, competitor activities, and audience changes.
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team of managers and executives across social, influencer, paid, and strategy.
  • Set performance standards, coach managers, and resolve delivery obstacles.
  • Ensure delivered work meets agency standards and pride.
  • Manage forecast, revenue, and margin for the assigned portfolio.
  • Develop and renegotiate scopes of work to align with client and agency needs.
  • Identify and convert organic growth opportunities within accounts.
  • Lead organic growth discussions and contribute to new business pitches.
  • Author senior proposals, response decks, and lead chemistry sessions.
  • Represent TGI at industry events, panels, and award ceremonies.

Requirements

  • A senior agency operator with 5+ years of experience in agency-side client leadership.
  • Proven track record of owning senior client accounts end-to-end.
  • Trusted by senior clients, sought for advice by CMOs and Marketing Directors.
  • Strategically literate, capable of contributing to discussions with strategists and creatives.
  • Commercially confident in managing forecasts, margins, scopes, and organic growth.
  • Experienced people leader with a history of building and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective during challenging situations, such as difficult feedback or escalations.
  • Skilled presenter, able to convey complex agency viewpoints concisely.
  • Proficient with AI tools like Gemini, Claude, and Notion AI, and capable of shaping team usage.
  • Committed to high standards in briefs, writing, and delivery.
  • Experience with MacBook.
