About the Role

Snowflake is seeking experienced Senior Solution Engineers to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with sales teams and channel partners to understand customer needs, plan engagement support, deliver compelling value-based demonstrations, support customer PoCs, and drive deals to closure. You will present Snowflake's technology and vision to executives and IT technical staff, demonstrate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, and understand how to position Snowflake within the evolving industry landscape. You will also collaborate with product management, engineering, and marketing to drive product improvements and marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

Present Snowflake's technology and vision to executive and IT technical staff of prospective and existing customers.
Demonstrate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle via demos and PoCs.
Understand competitors and related technologies and vendors to position Snowflake effectively.
Collaborate with product management, engineering, and marketing to drive product improvements and marketing activities.

Requirements

7-8 years of industry experience with 3+ years in a pre-sales environment.
Presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences, including impromptu whiteboard presentations and demos.
Broad experience with large-scale databases, data warehousing technologies, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies.
Hands-on knowledge of SQL and SQL analytics.
Ability to articulate customer business challenges and map them to Snowflake solutions.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Fluent in Japanese and English.
