About the Role
As part of Circle K, a leading global specialist in convenience and mobility, you will contribute to developing our retail business. We aim to be the preferred destination for convenience and mobility, and we are looking for someone to drive our vision forward. This role is a 12-month fixed-term position in Berlin.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and conduct hygiene audits (HACCP) across the network.
- Evaluate audit results, derive measures, and ensure their implementation.
- Develop and implement new systems, processes, and standards in hygiene and food safety.
- Coordinate and monitor quality assurance measures in daily operations.
- Review and update labeling requirements (e.g., allergens, additives) for our product range.
- Keep QM documentation and manuals current with legal changes.
- Design and manage training programs for our station partners.
- Advise internal departments and external partners on food law and hygiene matters.
- Identify, test, and recommend new tools and systems.
- Actively participate in foodservice projects, including reporting and creating communication materials.
Requirements
- Completed degree or training in food, gastronomy, nutritional science, or a comparable field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in the food, gastronomy, or food industry.
- Experience with hygiene regulations (especially HACCP) and quality management.
- Understanding of business processes, their interfaces, and optimization potential.
- Passion for food safety, quality, and standards.
- Interest in process optimization and the introduction of new systems.
- Enjoyment in actively shaping and developing a large network.
- Structured, precise, and solution-oriented work style.
- Strong quality awareness and attention to detail.
- Analytical thinking and ability to make sound, pragmatic decisions.
- Proactive approach, identifying risks and improvement potential early.
- Strong communication and cooperation skills.
- Ability to take responsibility and drive topics independently.
- Team player comfortable in an international environment.
- Very good German and good English language skills (spoken and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ideally, experience with other QM, audit, or foodservice systems.
- Digital mindset and affinity for new tools and technologies.
