About the Role
The Area Awards Management & Donor Compliance Officer supports the Area Awards Coordinator in planning, securing, and managing development and humanitarian awards. This role is crucial for award information management, ensuring data accuracy, and providing frontline support to field program and support teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the Area Awards Coordinator in planning, securing, and managing development and humanitarian awards.
- Maintain up-to-date award information.
- Provide frontline awards management support to field program and support teams.
- Share information across departments.
Requirements
- At least 2-3 years of work experience in finance, grants, contracts & sub-grant management, or auditing.
- Knowledge of major funders' guidelines (e.g., USAID, DFID, ECHO, SIDA, and UN).
- Experience working with private companies, international organizations, and government authorities for program implementation.
- Experience in developing, reviewing, and managing partner budgets and agreements.
- Proficiency in computer applications including Word, advanced Excel, Outlook, PowerPoints, and financial/grant management systems.
- Excellent planning and coordination skills.
- Ability to be patient, adaptable, flexible, and improvise.
- Ability to remain responsive and communicate clearly and effectively under complex work pressures and deadlines.
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Background checks and adherence to Child Safeguarding Policy are required.
