About the Role
This is a paid Student Work-Term/Co-operative Education opportunity for students interested in Information Systems, offering meaningful, hands-on experience in a professional and supportive environment. It is ideal for students in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related Science and Technology programs.
Responsibilities
- Compose, refine, and document test plans/scripts to ensure the reliability and functionality of the TitlePLUS+ portal.
- Collaborate in the refinement of test procedures and test cases, focusing on features and regression.
- Execute test plans/cases in multiple environments, including pre-production and production.
- Communicate quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the cross-functional product team.
- Document all defects found during the testing cycle.
- Analyze a range of scenarios, business, and technical requirements.
- Ensure product features adhere to product requirements/specifications with a focus on end-user experience (UX).
- Participate in all aspects of the QA lifecycle, including estimating, planning, reporting, and documentation.
- Track and conduct historical analyses of test results in concert with the Business Analyst.
- Review test cases/scenarios to ensure all requirements are covered.
- Participate in UAT smoke testing (system shake-down testing).
- Collaborate with the development team to reproduce observed issues.
- Collaborate with the TP+ product development/engineering team in composing automated scripted regression tests in Python and Selenium where appropriate.
- Support production deployments and participate in Production Verification Tests (PVT).
- Support the TitlePLUS department in business intelligence analytics and reporting.
Requirements
- Proficient in navigating and troubleshooting web applications on Chrome and Edge web browsers.
- Familiarity with web app authentication and authorization principles, e.g., JSON web tokens.
- Knowledge of Python and the Selenium framework/library.
- Good communication skills, with verbal and written comprehension and expression.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with iFrame, modal window, and tab out user interfaces is an asset.
- Familiarity with iterative software development practices, e.g., Agile methodology, is an asset.
- Knowledge in insurance or real estate law is considered an asset.
- Must be flexible and able to work off hours.
