About the Role

Red Hat is seeking a Senior Consultant with extensive experience in JEE and modern cloud-native application design to technically lead projects. This role involves leveraging Red Hat's middleware and OpenShift platforms to create practical solutions for complex enterprise integration, API management, and microservices. You will advise clients' leadership and architects, mentor junior consultants, and ensure the technical success and complete delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Completely execute implementations and deliveries for large-scale, complex application development and modernization projects, either independently or as a team lead.
  • Lead advanced technical validation (PoC) and prototyping based on Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Application Services.
  • Translate architectural designs into concrete tasks, support project planning, and lead the team towards goals set by leadership.
  • Deeply understand client infrastructure and business challenges, providing strategic proposals for Red Hat technology adoption and managing expectations.
  • Technically mentor consultants and associates within the team, provide performance feedback, and enhance organizational capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for Upsell/Cross-sell (other Red Hat products or services) in client environments from a technical perspective and collaborate with sales teams.
  • Logically explain team decisions to leadership, tactfully handle one-on-one critical dialogues, and promote positive problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Over 13 years of advanced practical experience and expertise in middleware technologies (enterprise web development, system integration, etc.).
  • Proven track record of directly collaborating with stakeholders and architects on various large-scale development and deployment projects.
  • Experience leading small technical teams to define solution architectures, design, implement, and troubleshoot large-scale solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies, object-oriented design, and Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP).
  • Advanced design and construction experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using technologies like Tekton and Argo CD.
  • Exceptional communication skills to clearly explain and present complex technologies to all levels, from non-technical executives to engineers.
