About the Role

The Health and Science System Specialist (HSSS) is responsible for launching new products, managing business relationships, understanding formulary access, and promoting products within assigned accounts. This role involves sales efforts and relationship development with customers, including Therapeutic Area Specialists and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). The HSSS needs strong customer, market, and business acumen, combined with product and disease state knowledge, and excellent sales, promotional, and strategic business development skills. Expertise in virtual and in-person customer engagement, utilizing digital tools, and effective remote work coordination are essential to address customer needs and achieve Pfizer's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively identify and implement efficient virtual/in-person engagement strategies.
  • Develop and implement effective business and territory call plans, adapting based on insights.
  • Strategically build rapport and relationships with KOLs and customers.
  • Utilize digital tools effectively and adapt to new tools for customer engagement.
  • Proactively leverage analytics for insights and action plans.
  • Compliantly engage key customers to grow business and drive product demand through education.
  • Develop and deliver relevant, targeted messaging using approved materials.
  • Utilize enhanced product and disease state knowledge to educate providers.
  • Create impact with HCPs and direct office staff for customer engagements.
  • Optimize customer engagements for strategic deployment of approved Pfizer resources.
  • Provide information on Reimbursement, Patient Assistant Program (PAP), Pfizer hub programs, and Co-Pay Resources.
  • Present terms of sale or existing contract terms where appropriate.
  • Answer on-label questions and introduce customers to the Pfizer on-demand portal.
  • Collaborate effectively and compliantly with cross-functional colleagues.
  • Use triaging protocols and digital apps to connect with SMEs for customer inquiries.
  • Effectively use calendaring tools, leadership goals, and personal insights to address customer priorities.
  • Bring insights from customer surveys to leadership.
  • Drive sales in assigned Health System and/or accounts.
  • Contribute to the productivity and effectiveness of the IAT.
  • Understand and navigate changes in the healthcare landscape.
  • Influence customers by uncovering needs and communicating persuasively.
  • Understand Stakeholder Mapping and the Patient Journey.
  • Utilize insights towards local planning.
  • Develop strategic account selling and management skills.

Requirements

  • Must live within 25 miles of the border of the territory.
  • Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards.
  • Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired.
  • Demonstrated leadership across peer groups.
  • Ability to sell within specialized markets where third-party reimbursement and service centers have been utilized.
  • Ability to travel to all accounts/office locations within territory.
  • Candidates may be required to stay overnight as necessary.
  • Ability to work during weekends at medical conventions.
  • This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States.
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer.

Salary/Compensations

  • $108,600 - $250,700
