About the Role
This role is responsible for planning and executing sales strategies for offline channels in the Japan market, driving growth through retailer partnerships and maximizing consumer demand. The position also involves developing the sales team and collaborating with cross-functional teams like Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and revenue targets for offline channels.
- Manage trade spending, including price promotions and demonstrator costs, within budget while improving ROI.
- Ensure accurate volume forecasting to maximize sales and minimize operational costs.
- Develop and execute Go-to-Market (G2M) strategies for channels to meet revenue expectations.
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand distribution within offline channels.
- Plan and execute promotional events to attract consumers.
- Ensure quality in-store presence by partnering with retail marketing and activation teams.
- Lead Top-to-Top partnerships with customers to drive strategic agreements.
- Enhance Joint Business Plan (JBP) planning and execution with sales teams and customers.
- Collaborate with Marketing for channel plans, NPDs, promotion plans, and in-store execution.
- Work with Demand Planning and Supply Chain to ensure stock availability and minimize excess inventory.
- Optimize trade spending with the Finance team.
- Develop the skillset of the sales team in areas like JBP, customer selling, and ROI-based promotion planning.
Requirements
- Retail industry experience, including headquarters and store levels.
- Experience across various channels such as Appliance stores, GMS, Wholesale, TVHS, and Clubs.
- People management experience with 5-10 or more direct reports.
- Strong experience collaborating with multi-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain).
