SW's Summer Vacation Program is designed for students in their second-to-last year of university seeking valuable work experience and a head start in their careers. It offers a chance to discover endless possibilities within a progressive advisory and accounting firm.
Responsibilities
- Preparing tax returns
- Processing tax office correspondence
- Preparing Business Activity Statements
- Preparing financial statements
- Preparing audit work papers
- Examining financial statements
- Preparing stocktakes
- Going to client sites
- Building relationships with clients
- Assisting with internal audit planning and execution
- Evaluating client processes and systems
- Participating in fieldwork activities
- Identifying and evaluating risks within client operations
- Preparing emails for clients to forward ATO correspondence, request information, etc.
- Preparing Instalments activity statements
- Liaising with the ATO and other revenue departments
- Analysing financial statements
- Reviewing and using financial models
- Undertaking industry and market research
- Assisting with valuation, financial modelling, advisory and due diligence engagements
Requirements
- Final year student or recent graduate with a degree in Commerce or Business (majoring in Accounting) or a double degree (with Accounting major)
- Passionate about making a difference and opening doors to new opportunities
- Energetic about putting knowledge into practice
- Unique, one of a kind, and bring a different perspective
