About the Role
This role will very quickly become Head of Engineering. You'll be responsible for ensuring our systems are enterprise-grade, secure, and built to scale. We need someone deeply experienced in system architecture and infrastructure, focusing on distributed systems communication, reliability, and building a trusted backbone for enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
- Build secure, multi-tenant infrastructure for enterprise customers.
- Design system architecture for agent-based workflows in sandboxed environments.
- Develop distributed systems for reliability, observability, and correctness at scale.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and security-first deployment infrastructure.
- Create backend services for AI agent orchestration.
- Build document ingestion pipelines for various file types.
- Develop internal tooling to enable rapid shipping by a small team.
Requirements
- High ownership and agency; focus on outcomes.
- Deep experience with system design, infrastructure, and architecture.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining enterprise-grade software systems.
- Strong software fundamentals and systems intuition.
- Comfort owning infrastructure, deployment, reliability, and security.
- Experience building or shipping AI agents to production is a strong plus.
- Fast learner who actively adopts new tools and frameworks.
