About the Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work closely with customers to ship code that unlocks immense value for them. You will identify friction points and deliver solutions that eliminate them.
Responsibilities
- Own customer implementations end-to-end, including discovery, integration, deployment, and optimization.
- Write production code under real deadlines.
- Transform messy workflows into first-principle-driven automations.
- Serve as the technical representative for Eventual to customers, ensuring they perceive high technical competence.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience shipping production-grade software.
- Proficiency in Python or TypeScript, ideally both.
- Comfortable interacting with customers, including running discovery calls and explaining technical tradeoffs.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and demonstrate high agency.
- Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or as a founder/early engineer directly owning customer outcomes.
- Interest in the insurance industry or willingness to become deeply familiar with it.
