About the Role
At Furniture Bank, you aren't just moving boxes; you're moving lives. As a Furniture Mover, you'll be part of a two-person crew completing 5-8 stops daily across the GTA, delivering essential furniture to families in need. This role is physically demanding and fast-paced, but offers the reward of seeing the direct impact of your work every day. We utilize AI to enhance efficiency and are looking for individuals open to integrating these tools into their workflow.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload furniture using hand-bomb technique and dollies across 5-8 stops per day.
- Carry furniture into clients' homes, ensuring items are placed and set up according to their needs.
- Act as the face of Furniture Bank at every client's door.
- Work collaboratively with the Driver Team Lead, communicating clearly and moving efficiently.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized truck.
- Record moments from the day for social media and request Google reviews from donors and clients.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a physically demanding role (moving, labor, warehousing, trades, or similar).
- Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly throughout the day with proper technique.
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions year-round.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Clear verbal communication skills in a fast-moving environment.
- Client-facing professionalism, including warmth, care, and composure.
- Openness to learning and using AI tools as part of the daily workflow.
- Strong written and spoken English.

- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check is a condition of employment.
