About the Role
As a member of the Global Legal Department, you will support management and specialist departments in all legal matters, particularly concerning customer, supplier, and partner contracts. You will advise sales, tender, and other specialist departments on contract drafting in the B2B environment. You will also create, review, and negotiate purchase, service, and works contracts, including those for complex construction projects and public tenders, as well as contracts from IT and software law. You will ensure compliance with relevant legal areas, including competition and antitrust law, export/import, data protection, and other compliance regulations. You will independently assess complex situations and develop pragmatic, economically viable solutions in collaboration with Sales and Finance. You will represent Schneider Electric in all legal matters internally and externally and conduct negotiations with external parties independently. You will manage and coordinate disputes, court, and arbitration proceedings in cooperation with external lawyers and internal specialist departments. Additionally, you will strengthen legal and compliance awareness within the company through training on relevant legal topics.

Requirements
- Fully qualified lawyer (w/m/d) with completed 1st and 2nd state examinations.
- Excellent knowledge of contract and sales law (B2B) and very good knowledge of public procurement law, VOB/B, antitrust and competition law.
- Knowledge of IT and software law, as well as anti-corruption and product liability is advantageous.
- Several years (min. 5 years) of relevant professional experience – ideally in an internationally active company.
- Good knowledge of the industry, its structures, and requirements.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, combined with an independent and responsible way of working.
- Very good understanding of economic contexts and a high degree of entrepreneurial and ethical conduct.
- Fluent German and English language skills.
- Team spirit, optimism, drive, and willingness to travel occasionally.
