About the Role
As an Engagement Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of mid-market accounts, managing the entire client lifecycle from initial rollout to adoption, expansion, and renewal. Your role involves driving client adoption and retention, acting as a strategic advisor, and leading commercial discussions to secure and grow accounts. You will adapt Legora's established playbooks to specific client needs and contribute to their ongoing development as an early member of a rapidly scaling team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of mid-market accounts, managing the end-to-end client journey from rollout through adoption, expansion, and renewal.
- Develop customized success plans based on each client's unique goals and context, defining value and the path to achieve it.
- Drive adoption through structured enablement and trusted advisory relationships, collaborating with Legal Engineering to identify relevant use cases and align Legora with client objectives.
- Lead renewal processes and drive account expansion by identifying growth opportunities and confidently managing commercial discussions.
- Proactively manage risk by monitoring health metrics and usage signals to detect early signs of disengagement, resolve issues, and escalate as needed to protect retention.
- Utilize AI tools to automate personal workflows and create leverage across your portfolio, embodying Legora's innovative approach.
- Operate within Legora's engagement playbooks, using independent judgment to adapt to diverse situations and providing feedback to refine these playbooks.
- Mentor Engagement Associates and collaborate with Product and Legal Engineering teams to translate client feedback into product and engagement insights.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in management consulting, client advisory, a customer-facing B2B SaaS role, or the legal field, with a focus on owning client relationships.
- Demonstrated success in driving measurable adoption, retention, and expansion.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and high emotional intelligence, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of a client organization.
- Experience with legal teams, regulated industries, or legal tech is advantageous; a strong capacity to quickly learn complex environments is essential.
- A proactive approach to automation and workflow building, leveraging AI to create efficiency for yourself and the team.
- Proficiency in data analysis and a metrics-driven approach to understanding customer health and outcomes, coupled with clear and confident communication skills.
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for a fast-paced, early-stage environment, with a willingness to contribute to playbook development and mentor junior team members.
- Commitment to in-office collaboration, working 5 days per week in the Downtown San Francisco office.
