About the Role

The Financial Control Representative supports the Financial Control team by performing intermediate to advanced accounting operations, including daily financial reconciliation, investigation of unreconciled items, and preparation of accounting adjustments. The team values trust, shared accountability, and balance, working collaboratively to improve reconciliation accuracy and reporting quality.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve unreconciled items and rejected transactions within established service level agreements, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Prepare and administer accurate financial entries to support reconciliation and reporting resolution.
  • Process merchant adjustments accurately to resolve revenue and reconciliation discrepancies.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation by updating all relevant systems with investigation findings and final resolutions.
  • Monitor daily workload, track performance metrics, and report status and outstanding items as required.
  • Identify recurring issues, recommend process improvements, and escalate risks or exceptions to Specialists, Team Leads, or Managers in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and control standards.
  • Contribute to team effectiveness through participation in coaching, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • University or college degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in accounting or a closely related function.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas and data analysis features.
  • Customer service oriented, self-motivated and dependable.
