About the Role
As a member of the ABC landscaping team, you will be responsible for professionally completing assigned jobs to meet client landscaping needs, providing excellent customer service. If applicable, you may also be assigned as a team driver.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned jobs professionally to meet client landscaping needs.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Be assigned as a team driver, if applicable.
- Familiarize yourself with client expectations and sales agreements, and follow job specifications.
- Learn to operate all equipment as directed by the crew leader.
- Prepare the job site, which may include digging, sweeping, removing objects and plants, removing or installing trees, shrubs, palms, plants, turf, and mulch, and other types of work as agreed upon in the sales contract, including minor construction work.
- Remove or install trees, shrubs, palms, plants, turf, and mulch, and perform other types of work as agreed upon in the sales contract, including minor construction work.
- Learn the basics of construction and gain the ability to work on small new construction projects and small-scale repairs such as laying slabs, small stone walls, and other masonry work, outdoor kitchens, and grills as stipulated in the contract.
- Clean the work area and remove trash, branches, plants, or other debris upon completion of the job.
Requirements
- Previous landscaping and light construction experience preferred, but the right candidate will be trained.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, work under pressure, and remain calm.
- Experience working with routes, service stops, and meeting assigned route deadlines.
- Reliable and self-motivated individual with a desire to work year-round.
- Ability to work indoors and/or outdoors for extended periods of time, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
- Must reside within the Austin and surrounding areas.
- Valid driver's license with an issue date of at least five years prior to the date of this application.
