About the Role

Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an International Business Development Lead for Northern Europe to drive platform sales and strategic partnerships. This role involves identifying, qualifying, and advancing sales opportunities with government and prime-contractor customers, acting as a credible external representative and leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage resources and knowledge of Boeing products, services, processes and operations to support customer commitments, gain competitive advantage and foster business growth.
  • Create, maintain and advance customer relationships to become a trusted business partner with multiple international customers.
  • Represent Boeing at relevant shows and events across the region.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of customer business, culture, geopolitical environment, requirements and related topics to shape emerging customer requirements.
  • Interface with customers and internal Boeing resources to keep all parties apprised of key issues and path to resolution.
  • Lead, support and coordinate within a large group of sales professionals and subject matter experts to pursue sales and campaign activities.
  • Research, review and analyze publicly available information about competitors' products and services to improve competitive position.
  • Develop industry relationships at the appropriate level for local collaborations.
  • Support business case analysis and obtain authorization to proceed with campaigns.
  • Manage internal budgets in support of international campaigns.
  • Assist in preparing proposals by developing themes and discriminators and reviewing key proposal sections from the customer's perspective.
  • Identify emerging talent within Boeing and in customer and supplier contacts to attract and retain the next generation of Boeing leaders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience engaging directly with military/government customers with a demonstrated understanding of customers' organization, requirements, planning and procurement processes.
  • Experience working with international defense customers in shaping and developing requirements.
  • Language fluency in English.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • 7+ years experience within the defense industry and/or military service.
  • Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in the EU.
  • Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
