About the Role

This role plays a critical part in ensuring optimal asset performance across a highly automated warehouse environment. You will join a newly formed team and work with advanced automation technology, making this an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about continuous improvement, technical leadership, and hands-on problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal performance and availability of automated warehouse assets across electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues to minimise downtime and maintain operational continuity
  • Lead and support corrective maintenance, system modifications, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical leadership during system outages and emergency escalations
  • Analyse asset performance data to improve maintenance strategies, spares holdings, and system reliability
  • Support Root Cause Analysis activities and contribute to long-term service and maintenance planning
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OH&S standards and CMMS reporting requirements

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with automated systems
  • Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Proficiency with CMMS, WMS, WCS, and industry-related software
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and drive improvement outcomes
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor technicians and collaborate across teams

  • Qualification (degree, diploma, or certificate) in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field (preferred)
