About the Role
Field Service Engineers are responsible for all field operations in their assigned area, including installation, inspection, repair, maintenance, and billing. They strive to maintain and improve customer satisfaction, maximizing business growth and profit from customers and products. Field Engineers also work to improve their technical skills, including clinical knowledge of assigned equipment, to effectively support the operation of healthcare services in medical institutions, including commercial proposals, and to gain customer trust. They also work with the assigned sales team to contribute to market share gain through services. They build good relationships with partner distributors and develop locally rooted businesses as business partners.
Responsibilities
- Perform field operations including installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance in the assigned area.
- Maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
- Maximize business growth and profit from customers and products.
- Improve technical skills, including clinical knowledge of assigned equipment.
- Support effective operation of healthcare services in medical institutions.
- Build relationships with partner distributors.
- Develop locally rooted businesses as business partners.
- Perform new installation and introduction of medical equipment (diagnostic imaging equipment) in hospitals.
- Perform maintenance inspections and repair work for stable operation of customer equipment, and related billing tasks.
- Communicate with customers to improve and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Escalate customer complaints to appropriate internal and external stakeholders and resolve issues.
- Proactively discuss and implement improvements based on opportunities discovered through work.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of field service experience in electrical/mechanical fields (or basic knowledge of electrical/computer/network for inexperienced individuals).
- Communication skills to logically explain issues to customers.
- Ability to propose and execute ideas for operational improvement.
- Skill to accurately perform inspections and repairs by reading manuals.
- Ability to accurately escalate and resolve problems that occur at customer sites.
- Valid driver's license.
