About the Role

MR PORTER is seeking a talented Merchandiser to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting into the Merchandising Manager, you will support all aspects of the merchandising process to plan, forecast, and trade a department, maximizing profit opportunities in line with the luxury division’s strategic direction.

Responsibilities

• Plan seasonal OTB and collaborate with Buying to deliver balanced, customer-focused ranges within budget.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure exclusives and optimize margins.
• Monitor sell-through, deliveries, and performance, taking decisive action when needed.
• Manage forecasts, WSSIs, markdowns, margins, and closing stocks to maximize profitability.
• Provide analysis to support strategic decisions across Merchandising and the wider business.
• Anticipate trends and ensure fashion-forward, relevant assortments.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve processes and results.
• Lead and develop your team through coaching, training, performance management, and engagement initiatives.
• Champion the company vision, values, and profitability goals, driving full-price sell-through and team pride.

Requirements

• Proven ability to drive business impact through merchandising, ideally within multi-brand luxury retail.
• Strong judgment and decision-making skills, confident in taking calculated risks.
• Excellent market, customer, and brand awareness, with a genuine passion for product.
• Experience in fast-paced luxury retail environments with strong communication skills.
• Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines.
