About the Role

As the Director, Key Account Management, Uro-Oncology, you will be a key member of the commercial field leadership team and a critical part of the customer-facing team. You will lead eight Key Account Managers in the western half of the Nation, providing leadership, vision, coaching, support, and mentorship to maximize the Uro-Oncology portfolio within the East Area. This role requires a visionary leader and competent communicator to manage strategy and tactics, and to take a leadership role with healthcare systems, private equity firms, and large community Urology Groups. This is an opportunity to play an important role in making available to patients a novel therapy that has the potential to set a new benchmark for what’s possible in bladder cancer care.

Responsibilities

  • Attract, engage, and retain talent within the Uro-Oncology field KAM organization.
  • Develop talent in alignment with business needs and succession goals for the organization.
  • Coach and develop KAMs and hold high performance standards through motivating and inspiring the teams they lead.
  • Translate product strategies and tactics into specific zone, region, and territory plans and manage the execution of those plans to drive the achievement of the financial goals.
  • Provide leadership and vision to all personnel in the Area.
  • Demonstrate initiative and analytical insight to ensure that key account market trends, challenges and opportunities, and the Company's response to those trends, challenges and opportunities, are effectively communicated across Commercial Operations.
  • Leverage leadership and collaboration skills to manage, develop, and provide guidance to Key Customers, specifically, Key Accounts, and KOLs.
  • Build and develop sustainable relationships with key customers, elevating the level of engagement between all Ferring Uro-Oncology stakeholders and Key customers.
  • Demonstrates peer leadership with local field teams, cross-functional partners, and internal leadership.
  • Accountable for all KPIs and execution within the assigned Areas.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing successful teams.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in Oncology and/or Urology.
  • Bladder Cancer experience preferred.
  • Account Management Experience required, including experience navigating complex accounts critical for success.
  • Technical knowledge of health care reimbursement from a patient and provider perspective.
  • Establishes effective relationships through mutual respect and trust in dealing with others.
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity and not having set processes and structures in place.
  • Ability to identify issues quickly and develop recommendations to resolve in a timely, compliant manner.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to clearly and succinctly convey his/her ideas to either groups or individuals.
  • Demonstrated regional and national payer knowledge in assigned zone.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills- ability to navigate communication between Ferring Uro-Oncology BU and the HCP office.
  • Understanding of patient privacy laws including HIPAA and similar state laws.
  • Advanced understanding of compliance with OIG & regulatory requirements.
  • Driving is an essential duty of this job; candidates must have a valid driver’s license to be considered.
  • The Director of KAM role is Field based and requires significant travel (40-80%).

Salary/Compensations

  • $185,000 to $271,000
  • Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of sales commissions - payouts are based on individual and geography/company performance.
