About the Role

SYSTRA is hiring a Senior Architect to join their Buildings Team, focusing on Transport and Infrastructure Sectors. This role involves technical coordination and delivery of design packages, ensuring compliance with project standards and client requirements. The Senior Architect will manage architectural technicians, other design disciplines, and partners, contributing to collaborative built-environment design solutions from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

Provide technical coordination for various design packages under the Principal Architect's stewardship.
Ensure technical development and delivery of design packages comply with project-specific standards and client requirements.
Produce designs, drawings, schedules, and calculations for design projects.
Manage less experienced colleagues in design delivery.
Take responsibility for allocated tasks and coordinate supporting staff.
Direct and manage in-house architectural technicians, other design disciplines, and Architectural Partners.
Liaise with architecture and wider multi-discipline colleagues to produce collaborative built-environment design solutions.
Manage design input from Architectural Partners and Sub-contractors/consultants.
Take projects from conception to completion, including feasibility studies, outline designs, detailed design, and site support.
Assist in managing resources to achieve project delivery targets within timescales and budgets.
Provide technical assistance to site-based personnel.
Lead and be proactive in project meetings.
Advise contractors and consultants on projects.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary design solutions during Technical Design, Construction, and Handover stages.
Review tender opportunities, including preparation of deliverables, cost estimates, programmes, and multi-disciplinary collaboration requirements.
Direct and manage in-house architectural staff, other design disciplines, and sub-consultants.

Requirements

ARB & RIBA registered Architect.
Experienced/Accredited user in Revit / Microstation/ AECOsim.
Fully conversant in CAD modelling to compliant standards and adopt company/sector specific protocols.
Experience in Rail Infrastructure Design or Middle Eastern Infrastructure Design is an advantage.
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop / InDesign to produce quality graphical presentations.
General skills in Microsoft Office suite of software packages.
Experience of using common data environments for Design Consultant/Contractor/Client file sharing.
Robust knowledge of design and construction principles and standards.
Motivated team player who works well under pressure and engages with colleagues.
