About the Role
Axsome Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director, Supply Chain to manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain for commercial and clinical products. This role oversees supply planning, demand forecasting, inventory management, contract manufacturing, and logistics, ensuring product availability and compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. The position requires expertise in pharmaceutical supply chain operations, a compliance mindset, and strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies for commercial and clinical product needs in US and global markets.
- Ensure efficient and uninterrupted drug supply through proactive planning and risk mitigation.
- Support new product launches and product change implementation, owning the Change Control process.
- Develop and maintain supply chain documentation, including process definition, Master Product Data Sheets, batch tracking, and product genealogy.
- Oversee demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management to optimize supply levels.
- Partner with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) for timely production, packaging, and distribution.
- Lead S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes to align supply with business needs.
- Manage relationships with CMOs, 3PLs, and other key supply chain and business partners.
- Negotiate and oversee supply agreements, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and performance metrics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with CMC, Quality, Finance, Program Management, Trade & Distribution, Commercial, and Regulatory teams.
- Ensure supply chain operations comply with GxP requirements and FDA/global regulations.
- Support audits, inspections, and quality investigations related to supply chain operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline global operations.
- Identify opportunities for process efficiencies, cost savings, and risk reduction.
- Implement and optimize supply chain tools, data analytics, and digital solutions.
- Provide support for commercial packaging artwork and labeling.
- Foster strong communication and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and global partners.
- Perform other supply chain-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply operations in a GMP environment.
- Ability to work on-site Monday, Tuesday & Thursday.
