About the Role

Eclipse Trading is seeking a passionate and technically talented individual to join their Infrastructure and Technology Services team. The successful candidate will collaborate with trading support and development teams to ensure optimal system performance, availability, and security.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, and maintain RHEL/Fedora servers.
• Conduct network, system, and kernel tuning for ultra-low-latency workloads; develop benchmarks and monitoring dashboards.
• Write robust Bash, Python, and Perl scripts for routine tasks, diagnostics, and custom tooling.
• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks or Salt states, enforcing idempotent configurations across hundreds of nodes.
• Deploy and manage Proxmox clusters; create/maintain VMs and containers; integrate with AWS services.
• Implement and troubleshoot advanced networking (VLANs, bonding, NIC teaming, SR-IOV, TCP/UDP tuning, QoS).
• Manage and troubleshoot SAN and NAS storage solutions and block-level storage using iSCSI. Perform LUN masking, multipathing, and performance tuning for Linux hosts.
• Provide timely response to production incidents, including some after-hours/weekend work.
• Produce clear runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation; mentor junior engineers.
• Apply hardening guidelines, manage SELinux where required, and support audit requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of professional Linux engineering experience (RHEL/Fedora).
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a proactive attitude toward automation and improvement.
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls).
• System, kernel, and network performance tuning (including low-latency).
• Hands-on experience with Proxmox (preferred) or comparable platforms (KVM, VMware).
• Advanced Bash, Python, and Perl scripting.
• Proven experience with Ansible or Salt (Salt preferred).
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, LXC/LXD).
• Familiarity with monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, LibreNMS).
• Knowledge of security frameworks (CIS, NIST).
• Experience with Windows networking.
• Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3) is nice to have.
• Prior work in high-frequency trading and financial services is nice to have.
• Fluency in English. Mandarin and Cantonese fluency are nice to have.
