About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Character Animator to join our team for a short-term project, working closely with our Animation Director and Animation Supervisor to craft compelling performances for live-action film and television productions.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality, realistic animation for live-action film and television productions
- Collaborate with Animation, FX, Rigging, and Lighting departments to integrate shots seamlessly
- Work within an established pipeline to take shots from blocking to final polish
- Deliver work on time while maintaining the studio’s quality standards
- Process and refine motion capture data in Maya to support character performances
- Participate in review sessions and incorporate feedback efficiently
Requirements
- Professional experience as a 3D animator in film and/or television VFX
- Reel of most current work with breakdown of responsibilities/specific contributions
- Strong proficiency animating in Maya from reference, with the ability to own shots through to final
- Solid understanding of anatomy, weight, and physical movement
- Hands-on experience working with motion capture data in Maya
- Ability to thrive in a fast production environment with shifting priorities
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive attitude
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through
