About the Role
As a Building Information Modelling (BIM) Coordinator, you will collaborate with project and Design Technology teams to ensure BIM execution plans, processes, and standards are followed. You will develop consistent models, manage model health, and coordinate with the project team for seamless model integration. This role also oversees clash detection to prevent interferences.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between design teams and discipline leads, clarifying project standards and expectations.
- Implement design technology processes, ensuring adherence to standards, guidelines, and protocols.
- Perform, review, and sort interference conditions for all disciplines, tracking clash resolution.
- Conduct data checks for incomplete parameters, missing type marks, and mismatched phase filters.
- Perform coordination tasks including model auditing, maintenance, error checking, data integrity, troubleshooting, and BIM Collaborate Pro file management.
- Coordinate model exchanges, ensuring updated models are published on time for coordination meetings.
- Lead coordination meetings to review open issues, present new clashes, and address unmodeled elements or data gaps.
- Assist in the virtual construction of 3D models with project teams.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for model-related issues.
- Manage the automation of manual tasks within projects.
- Report model issues, areas for improvement, or required training to the Design Technology team.
- Assist the Design Technology team in implementing new technologies.
- Streamline processes by training team members on effective design software usage.
Requirements
- Experience in BIM modelling, drafting, and coordination.
- Working knowledge of Revit for architectural design.
- Knowledge of BIM processes and common building components and assemblies.
- Successfully completed post-secondary education in Engineering, Architecture, or specialized BIM certifications.
