About the Role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) acts as a field-based scientific representative for Medical Affairs, serving as the primary scientific point of contact for key individuals in the territory to address medical, scientific, and research needs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date scientific expertise through conferences, training, and preceptorships.
  • Disseminate and present clinical and scientific data to key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals based on scientific credibility.
  • Develop scientific communication materials and provide congress support.
  • Implement regional scientific leadership strategies through informed dialogue.
  • Lead or participate in medical and scientific forums such as advisory boards and continuing medical education.
  • Support phase IIIB/IV local and global clinical development programs.
  • Contribute to site identification, patient enrollment, and follow-up visits.
  • Assist in result interpretation, post-hoc analyses, and research collaboration.
  • Support investigator-initiated studies by assessing research requests and ensuring successful execution.
  • Analyze data to generate insights and contribute to scientific publications.
  • Provide clinical consultation to internal business partners including access, medical education, and marketing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate the exchange of clinical information.
  • Provide regional medical perspective to influence integrated Medical Affairs plans.
  • Contribute to the Medical Science publication plan.

Requirements

  • University degree in science or a health-related field.
  • Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent clinical/scientific background.
  • Proven track record in commercial, medical, or clinical development strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of GCP, IMC code, and healthcare compliance policies.
  • Familiarity with working in an environment guided by standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally.
  • Availability for 50-60% travel, including overnight stays 1-2 times per week.
