About the Role

As a Senior Designer, you will collaborate with other members of the design team to develop architectural design solutions that meet project context, budget, and aesthetic requirements. You will coordinate design efforts across all project phases and with other professional disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze information from reports and documents to understand project requirements.
  • Develop architectural designs to meet quality parameters, project timelines, and budgetary requirements.
  • Coordinate design intent with other disciplines.
  • Integrate engineering requirements, site surveys, and field review information, adhering to codes and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Prepare design reports, drawings, and models following office standards.
  • Perform site visitations to ensure compliance with construction documents, identify deviations, and resolve issues with owners and contractors.
  • Review project products, services, and shop drawings for adherence to project documents, codes, and quality controls.

Requirements

  • Experience in all phases of the project cycle.
  • Familiarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building codes.
  • Successfully completed related post-secondary education.
  • Registered with a relevant professional architectural association is an asset.
  • Experience in Hospitality projects is an asset.

Skills

  • Architectural design software skills including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, PhotoShop, and other architectural design software.
