About the Role
As a Senior Designer, you will work with other members of the design team to develop design solutions appropriate to the context, budget, and aesthetic requirements of architectural projects. You will collaborate with other professional disciplines and coordinate the design through all phases of the project.
Responsibilities
- Compiles and evaluates information from reports and documents to understand project requirements.
- Develops architectural designs to meet quality parameters, project timelines, and budgetary requirements.
- Coordinates design intent with other disciplines.
- Integrates engineering requirements, site surveys, and field review information, adhering to codes and jurisdictional requirements.
- Prepares design reports, drawings, and models following office standards.
- Performs site visitations to ensure compliance with construction documents and resolves deviations with owner and contractor.
- Reviews project products, services, and shop drawings for adherence to project documents, codes, and quality controls.
Requirements
- Experience in all phases of the project cycle.
- Familiarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building codes.
- Successfully completed related post-secondary education.
- Registered with a relevant professional architectural association is an asset.
- Experience in Hospitality projects is an asset.
