About the Role

Bodycote is the world's largest provider of thermal processing services, employing thousands of skilled staff globally. This role is safety-sensitive and requires adherence to ITAR compliance. A $1,500 sign-on retention bonus is available.

Responsibilities

• Assists with operations, control, and monitoring of heat treating and related equipment.
• Operates, controls, and monitors heat treating equipment.
• Independently operates, controls, and monitors heat treating equipment.
• Prepares work for processing; loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Brings any unusual problems or irregularities to the attention of the supervisor.
• Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
• Performs duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
• Reports for work on time, follows directions, interacts effectively with co-workers, understands and follows rules and procedures, and accepts constructive criticism.

Requirements

• Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements; candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
• Must have working knowledge of metallurgy, temperatures, etc.
• May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification.
• Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time in an industrial environment.
• Ability to bend, pull, stoop and reach to perform functions.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
• Ability to hear in person and via phone.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and a basic physical.

Work Type

• Full-time
• 12-hour shift
• Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Experience Level

• Entry Level: 0 to 24 months of heat treating experience
• Mid-Level: 2 to 3 years of experience in heat treating
• Senior-Level: 3 to 5 years of experience and a deep understanding of heat treating

Education Level

• High school diploma or equivalent

Salary/Compensations

• $20 – $25 per hour
• Eligible for overtime pay
