About the Role

Air Liquide Electronics is seeking a Laboratory Technician I in Taylor, TX, to support manufacturers by providing expertise in gas management and contributing to process improvements. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and timely delivery of data to customers in a dynamic and safety-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Wash labware
  • Transport samples between labs
  • Ensure integrity of test results through precise and prompt entry into data management systems
  • Fill bottle kits
  • Perform tasks guided by established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Clean and organize the lab
  • Prepare samples
  • Manage samples using LIMS
  • Analyze semiconductor grade chemicals for trace impurities or assay
  • Dispose of routine waste
  • Prepare high-quality standards for instrument calibration
  • Standardize titrants
  • Calibrate analytical instruments
  • Handle chemicals safely
  • Synthesize findings
  • Collaborate on data quality reviews
  • Report results to customers
  • Identify and share quality and safety near misses
  • Stay up to date on all lab trainings
  • Share insights and perspectives on safety and quality improvements
  • Attend all Safety Meetings
  • Interpret and understand analytical data
  • Collect data for qualification of new lab instruments
  • Provide support at the Balazs Austin Lab on an as-needed basis
  • Support logistical needs by coordinating sample transport between the Samsung T1 (Taylor) site and the S2 (Austin) site using an Air Liquide vehicle

Requirements

  • HS Diploma and 5 years of Lab Experience OR Associate Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 3 years of Experience OR Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 0 years of Experience
  • Able to adapt to teamwork environment
  • Good computer skills
  • Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture
  • Holiday and weekend coverage
  • Flexible to work OT as needed during staffing shortages
  • Flexible to work night shifts
