About the Role
Air Liquide Electronics is a world leader in supplying gases, specialty chemicals, and services to a wide variety of industries. Balazs Nanoanalysis operates analytical labs around the world serving both internal and external clients. We support clients in a wide array of industries including semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense industry, solar, energy storage, automotive and many others. Our highly-skilled chemists assist other scientists and engineers from companies in these fields to support a wide array of activities such as quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D and failure analysis.
Responsibilities
- Running samples on a daily basis using ICP-MS, classical wet lab analyses, GC-MS, and particle counters.
- Performing tasks such as sample login and tracking, material and kit handling, proper disposal of hazardous waste, reviewing data, and reporting results to the customer.
- Supporting the lab team through labware washing.
- Transporting samples between labs.
- Entering test results into data management systems timely and accurately.
- Filling bottle kits.
- Following SOPs.
- Lab cleaning and organization.
- Sample preparation.
- Sample login and management using LIMS.
- Analysis of semiconductor grade chemicals for trace impurities or assay.
- Routine Waste disposal.
- Preparation of high quality standards for instrument calibration.
- Standardization of titrants.
- Calibration of analytical instruments.
- Commitment to the safe handling of chemicals.
- Collaborating to put together results, review data quality, and report results to customers.
- Submit quality and safety near misses.
- Stay up to date on all lab trainings.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety and quality.
- Attend all Safety Meetings.
- Analyze and gain insights from analytical data.
Requirements
- HS Diploma and 5 years of Lab Experience OR Associate Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 3 years of Experience OR Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 0 years of Experiences.
- Able to adapt to teamwork environment.
- Good computer skill.
- Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture.
- Holiday and weekend coverage.
- Flexible to work OT as needed during staffing shortages.
- Flexible to work night shifts.
