About the Role
We have an outstanding technology opportunity in the Core & Common Data Products and Solutions Technology Team (formerly UCP) that is building a 360-degree view of the customer, focusing on person-level, profile data. As Senior Data Analyst you will strongly influence and contribute to the design and development of data services in support of our suite of products.
Responsibilities
- Being ‘in the data’ is a core responsibility.
- Capturing business requirements and translating them to data solutions.
- Defining use cases and simplifying complex concepts.
- Defining user stories and validating the impact of changes to datasets and data models.
- Breaking up complex work into digestible work elements with a good, applied knowledge of agile methodologies and practices.
- Querying and analyzing data using SQL and Oracle.
- Independently wrangling complex datasets to obtain valuable insights.
- Communicating sophisticated concepts effectively to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical.
- Making the complicated simple and understanding what is important about the data.
- Finding the outliers in data.
- Defining robust test scenarios.
- Being a strong partner for the engineers in your team, sharing in the work to produce the best possible data product.
- Navigating integrated enterprise data and working across multi-functional teams.
- Identifying alternative approaches and making recommendations on the benefits and shortcomings of each approach.
- Unraveling a mystery – data, business process or organizational.
- Applying data management and data modeling practices when building data solutions.
- Asking questions and challenging assumptions.
- Cultivating relationships both within your immediate team and across business units.
- Becoming a sought-after voice in your team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems analysis or data analysis.
- Data engineering skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with enterprise data lakes and Cloud data platforms such as Snowflake is a plus.
