About the Role
We are seeking a talented Senior Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will take on the responsibility of leading and successfully delivering complex application and infrastructure projects and problem fixes. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring that all objectives are met on time, within budget, and with the highest quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive project success. To excel in this position, you will need to apply project management principles, adhering to our established SIS Project Management processes and methodologies. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to project goals, scope, timelines, and budget.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including project definition, objectives, tasks, resources, and deliverables.
- Effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, providing timely updates and proposing appropriate solutions.
- Identify and manage project risks, anticipating potential obstacles, and proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
- Foster collaboration and teamwork among project team members, facilitating effective communication and information sharing.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and efficient execution of project activities.
- Drive continuous process improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Monitor project performance metrics and provide regular reports to management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and next steps.
- Foster a culture of excellence and professionalism, leading by example and inspiring team members to achieve their full potential.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or similar).
- Experience managing or working on mainframe software development initiatives is required.
- 5 to 10 of proven experience as a Project Manager, successfully delivering complex projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong knowledge and application of project management methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Demonstrated Project Management experience in Software Development LifeCycle projects (focus on estimating, planning, risk, and dependency management).
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams and effectively work with clients towards project success.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft tools and applications.
- Experience in the Wealth Management Business is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft tools and applications.
- PMP certification is considered an asset.
