About the Role

You will join the team responsible for our core commerce and clinical journey, including the e-commerce stack, consultation engine, patient and prescription systems, and order generation. This is a critical area where customers discover the company, complete consultations, subscribe, and receive personalized treatments at scale. The role involves working on the Node and React stack, powering storefronts for existing brands and new verticals, with significant greenfield opportunities.

Responsibilities

Build the services behind the customer journey: APIs, data models, and services powering consultations, prescriptions, and order generation.
Ship and own backend features from ticket to production, ensuring they remain fast, correct, and healthy.
Write clean, well-tested, and clear code that is easy for others to understand and build upon.
Make frontend (React) changes when necessary for feature development.

Requirements

Solid, recent, hands-on experience building backend services and APIs in Node.js/TypeScript.
Demonstrate a non-trivial piece of work that can be clearly explained.
Good fundamentals in data modeling, API design, and testing.
Ability to build defensively to ensure correctness in critical services.
Comfortable making React changes when a feature requires it.
Experience with relational databases (MySQL ideal).
Some exposure to AWS/Docker is a plus.
Clear communication skills, particularly in written explanations of decisions.
Approximately 3-6 years of experience building software in production.
