About the Role

You’ll join the team behind our core commerce and clinical journey, building the APIs, data models, and services that power consultations, prescriptions, and orders at consumer scale. You will focus on the server-side of our Python/Flask stack, with the ability to make frontend React changes when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Build the services behind the journey: APIs, data models and services powering consultations, prescriptions and order generation.
• Ship and own backend features from ticket to production, ensuring they remain fast, correct, and healthy.
• Write clean, well-tested, and clear code that is easy for others to understand and build upon.
• Make frontend (React) changes when a feature requires it.

Requirements

• Solid, recent, hands-on experience building backend services and APIs in Python (Flask).
• Sound data modelling experience (SQLAlchemy/Alembic).
• Sensible API design principles.
• An instinct for testing.
• Comfortable making React changes when a feature needs it.
• Clear communication skills, particularly in written explanations of decisions.
• Roughly 3-6 years of experience building software in production.
• Comfortable working with agentic AI tools like Claude Code and Codex.
