About the Role
We are expanding the engineering team to build the core commerce and clinical journey, including the ecom stack, consultation engine, patient and prescription systems, and order generation. This role involves owning features end-to-end across our Node/TypeScript/React stack, making architectural decisions, and contributing to new brand and market expansions.
Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end: from backend services and data schemas to the React frontend, across systems like checkout, subscriptions, and the consultation-to-prescription flow.
- Scale the platform for new brand launches and rising volume, making architectural decisions to maintain speed, correctness, and resilience.
- Contribute to a high-craft engineering culture through clean, well-tested code and constructive code reviews.
Requirements
- Strong, recent, hands-on full-stack experience, capable across both backend and frontend.
- Demonstrated engineering judgment, including clean code, clear API design, sound data modelling, and a preference for simple, robust solutions.
- Proven track record of shipping impactful features that delivered value to customers or the business.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to correctness, understanding the critical nature of the software.
- Production command of Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
- Experience with relational databases, ideally MySQL.
- Comfort with AWS and Docker.
- Clear written communication skills for PRs, design docs, and async decisions.
- Approximately 6+ years of experience building software in production.
