About the Role
NI Emerson is seeking a Chief Program Manager to lead multiple global product development teams, focusing on semiconductor test business unit execution and establishing project management rigor for world-class new product development. This role requires exceptional leadership to guide senior engineers and coordinate across various project management functions to drive innovation and deliver complex wireless communication, RF, mixed signal, and measurement test systems from concept to manufacturing release.
Responsibilities
- Drive process and product innovation while conducting business mission for semiconductor high volume test based products, acting as the subject matter expert for project and program management methodologies for new product development.
- Contribute to project management governance with tools, processes, and templates to drive consistency in execution.
- Influence without authority by establishing high trust relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Accelerate product development across multiple engineering disciplines by identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Communicate regularly with executive leadership and strategic customers on product development status.
- Respond to market trends by working closely with product management and product architects to curate process development and product roadmaps.
- Contribute to KPIs to measure and track overall new product development efficiency and influence product R&D for immediate action.
- Act as an expert in program/project management, training others on risk management, change management, capture, and share best practices for hardware development.
- Advise executives and R&D leadership on resource and schedule tradeoff decisions for complex products and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in the Test and Measurement or related electronics industries.
- Deep technical knowledge of semiconductor test for RF or mixed signal product.
- Broad experience across Mixed-Signal, RF, semiconductor, and aerospace test applications.
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop senior technical talent.
- Strong understanding of wireless communications, semiconductor, aerospace, and electronics production and validation test markets.
- Experience in working with dynamic cultures & countries, as part of a global organization.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills required.
- Travel: This role is expected to travel internationally with 5% travel expectations.
