About the Role
Factor’s Retail business is scaling nationally, requiring a stronger commercial operating backbone. This role will build and run the commercial operating system for the Retail and Foodservice business, owning the commercial forecast, trade calendar, pricing, analytics, and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Own the master commercial forecast by customer, SKU, and week, consolidating inputs from various teams.
- Reconcile the commercial forecast with Supply Chain & Production, identifying variances and supporting S&OP.
- Build and maintain the master trade calendar, integrating promotional activity with marketing and account milestones.
- Track trade spend, build promotional ROI models, and support post-event analysis.
- Own customer pricing files, price lists, cost-change workflows, and materials for pricing committee discussions.
- Build weekly and monthly commercial dashboards covering key performance metrics.
- Support category reviews and customer meetings by owning data appendices, scorecards, and analytics.
- Serve as the commercial gatekeeper for new item commercialization, managing timelines and readiness.
- Partner closely with sales and business development to synchronize customer meetings, trade plans, and launches.
- Document core commercial processes and create repeatable SOPs for key commercial functions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in sales strategy, sales planning, commercial strategy, trade marketing, revenue growth management, category management, consulting, or CPG analytics.
- Experience building or owning a forecast, trade calendar, customer scorecard, pricing file, or commercial planning process.
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets modeling skills.
- Experience with retail sales data, syndicated data, retailer portals, IRI / Circana / Nielsen / SPINS, or category management is strongly preferred.
- Exposure to CPG, retail, grocery, food, beverage, or fresh / refrigerated categories is a plus.
- Experience partnering with sales, finance, supply chain, and marketing teams on commercial planning or launch execution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort preparing leadership-ready materials.
- BA/BS required.
- MBA or equivalent analytical / commercial experience preferred.
