About the Role
As our first Agency Development Manager, you will be the face of SafeLease to the brokerage community, responsible for identifying, appointing, and managing relationships with independent agents and brokerages.
Responsibilities
- Identify and recruit high-performing commercial lines agencies and brokers.
- Lead the agency appointment process, including training producers on the SafeLease portal.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for producer partners, conducting account reviews and providing updates.
- Educate producers on insurance products and the technology advantage.
- Manage the entire pipeline from submission to bind, partnering with underwriters.
- Build distribution and referral relationships with existing customers and industry parties.
Requirements
- 5+ years in insurance distribution, agency management, or wholesale brokerage.
- Active surplus lines producer license is highly preferred or relevant surplus lines experience.
- Strong commercial property insurance contacts.
- Ability to navigate the hierarchy of a large brokerage.
- Understanding of commercial P&C fundamentals.
- Excited to show brokers a better way to work.
- Proactively identify opportunities and build plans to capture them.
