About the Role
As a Data Analyst at The Children's Trust, you will collect, process, and analyze data to support informed business decisions and strategic planning. This role involves working with various departments to understand data needs and provide actionable insights, maintaining and implementing routine solutions under senior management guidance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom reports using SQL.
- Design dashboards and visualizations with Power BI.
- Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Identify patterns and trends in data sets to provide actionable insights.
- Identify and investigate source systems needed to meet user analytical and reporting requirements.
- Develop and present proofs of concept and prototypes to stakeholders.
- Recommend and implement innovative solutions for presenting business key performance indicators.
- Maintain and enhance existing solutions, providing production support including bug fixes and functionality enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver integrated data repository and data lake solutions.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Provide post-implementation support, addressing user questions and fine-tuning reporting solutions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- One (1) year of experience in information management, business intelligence, business analysis, data analytics, or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid State of Florida driver’s license.
- Experience with statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms and their application.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Knowledge of data governance and best practices in data management.
- Knowledge of SQL; data extraction, transformation/loading, and visualization skills required.
- Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word.
- Experience with cloud-based data services and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to learn data mining, machine learning, and predictive analytical skills.
- Ability to integrate structured and unstructured data to support information needs.
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds (technical and non-technical).
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
