About the Role
We are seeking a Sr. Specialist Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Quality Supplier team to support our Texas and Oklahoma-based customers.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Planners, Program Quality Engineers, and Receiving Inspection to resolve supplier issues.
- Visit suppliers and perform product acceptance of electrical assemblies.
- Interface with internal and external customers; i.e., engineering, manufacturing, supplier, procurement to ensure requirements are met.
- Analyze supplier processes and planning to verify compliance with purchase orders, engineering drawings, processes, specifications, etc.
- Work with suppliers to resolve issues with purchase order inspection packages.
- Investigate and report supplier quality history as requested by quality engineering or Quality & Mission Assurance (Q&MA) management.
- Visit suppliers and perform investigation and root cause analysis to drive improvements into their processes.
- Be accountable for assigned suppliers' performance and ensure suppliers are performing with a 100% quality rating.
- Visit suppliers to review technical, quality and other contractual requirements and ensure the supplier has an adequate understanding to develop a plan to meet all the requirements.
- Review the suppliers' plans for adequacy and ensure all requirements are met.
- This includes, pre-award, post award, manufacturing readiness and other periodic reviews as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant quality experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related quality experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related quality experience.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Employees who drive on company business to carry out job-related duties must possess a valid driver’s license for the class of vehicle driven and meet automobile insurability requirements of the company.
Skills
- Ability to synthesize and analyze data from several sources and develop a plan to take action based upon the data
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a close-knit team environment.
- J-STD-001 Certification Preferred
- IPC-610 Certification Preferred
- J-STD-001 Space Addendum Certification Preferred
- Strong problem solving, RCCA and investigation experience
- Certified Quality Engineer strongly preferred

Salary/Compensations
- California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $96,000-$178,000.
- Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $84,000 - $156,000.

About the Company
- L3Harris announced on January 5th, that AE Industrial Partners (“AE Industrial”) has agreed to acquire a controlling interest in L3Harris’ Space Propulsion and Power Systems business.
