About the Role
ADA Traffic Control is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to provide traffic control within work zones year-round. The company provides training and knowledge to ensure regulations and procedures are properly followed. This position offers a variable schedule, with work locations varying based on contractor needs. Some weekend availability is expected. Seasonal and year-round positions are available.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with contractors on job site
- Conduct daily traffic plans
- Setup and tear down of appropriate Workzone equipment
- Conduct flagging operations
- Ensure personal safety, and safety of contractors, co-workers and general public
- Follow training and uphold safety protocols
- Be aware and vigilant of surroundings to spot safety hazards
- Work under pressure and react to potential danger in an urgent manner
- Communicate clearly and professionally with contractors, co-workers and general public
- Submit paperwork to proper channels
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a reliable vehicle
- Must have a clean 5-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to travel to meet point
- Ability to work outdoors
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
- Truck driving experience is a plus
