About the Role

Cadent is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as the Director of Data and AI Governance. This critical role is responsible for leading our AI Governance Center of Excellence (COE) and shaping policies for the responsible and ethical use of data and artificial intelligence, ensuring trust, compliance, and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and operationalize a comprehensive, enterprise-wide governance framework for data and AI, including policies, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Lead the AI Governance Center of Excellence (COE), establishing a central body for policy creation, ethical review, and strategic guidance.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate AI-related risks, including data privacy, cybersecurity, model bias, and third-party vendor risks, ensuring alignment with global regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and business leaders to embed governance controls and data stewardship into the entire AI lifecycle.
  • Support and drive the implementation of Data Management practices, including Data Quality, Metadata and Masterdata Management, and Data retention and storage.
  • Advise the Executive Committee and senior leadership on AI risk, ethics, and controls, and report on the effectiveness of the governance program.
  • Champion a culture of responsible AI use and data accountability through training and awareness programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in data governance, technology risk, data strategy, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of implementing successful governance programs in complex, high-growth environments.
  • Strategic thinking with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to policy implementation.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, modern data architecture, and associated risk areas.
  • Expertise in global data privacy regulations.
  • Experience in the AdTech industry is a significant plus.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across all levels.
  • Experience leading high-impact, cross-functional initiatives and guiding senior leaders.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
