About the Role
We are seeking a Senior .NET C# Developer to solve complex engineering problems and lead a small team in a dynamic environment. You will architect and implement software solutions for transportation, site design, energy, and healthcare, while mentoring developers and ensuring quality and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to a small team of developers.
- Own technical direction and architecture decisions for custom software applications.
- Collaborate with team members and business partners to determine project requirements.
- Develop and maintain custom software applications using .NET C# for civil design software.
- Enhance existing software systems to improve functionality and user experience.
- Conduct code reviews and establish coding standards.
- Quickly evaluate bugs and apply hot fixes.
- Drive Agile development practices.
- Plan and prioritize team workload.
- Stay updated on new development technologies and guide their adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience, including prior experience leading or mentoring developers.
- Proficiency in .NET/C# with an emphasis in desktop development.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects from design through delivery.
- Proficiency in using software development tools, such as Visual Studio, VS Code, Azure DevOps, and Git.
- Experience with databases (SQL Server/Oracle), ability to write stored procedures, database tuning, and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team building skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proven track record of successfully developing, debugging, and implementing software solutions.
- Ability to absorb new concepts quickly and a willingness to learn the basics of the civil engineering industry.
